The Pope in Bavaria


My first impression from his first homily in Muenchen was very strong. It is the true man on his place!

"May Your Spirit come down and renew the face of the earth. This earth!" This prayer has said John Paul II in Warsaw in the time of the totalitarism of the atheistic communism. Now Benedict XVI in Muenchen used in his homily the all three readings from the liturgy.
In the Gospel Jesus has said to a deaf men "Ephphatha," that is, "Be opened." This "Ephphatha," has for me the same sense as the prayer of John Paul II, but now in the time of the materialistic totalitarism.

München 10. September 2006 (ok) Papst Benedikt XVI. hat den Glauben an Gott als Grundlage der sozialen Verantwortung bezeichnet. Mit dem Thema Gott sei das soziale Thema,"unsere Verantwortung füreinander, für die Herrschaft von Gerechtigkeit und Liebe in der Welt verbunden", sagte der Heilige Vater vor mehr als 250 000 Menschen auf dem Freigelände der Neuen Messe München bei seiner ersten großen Eucharistiefeier während seines Bayernbesuches. Der Papst war vor Beginn der Messe unter dem begeisterten Beifall der Menge mit dem Papamobil zum Gottesdienstplatz gefahren...
